The elder of the tribe stands in front of everyone to let them know what is happening today. we have dancing , children running around , people on seats while others sit on grass. at the back on the left we have a yarning circle where people can sit down and have a yarn (talk) about what's on their mind .. in the middle is a cultural circle which tells of things that happen in the past. to the right of this is the colours used in the painting and the flowers . underneath is the campsite which is where there the food is prepared as well as an area for music to be played with tapping sticks ,boomerangs didgeridoos with people walking around looking as they pass by.. Jane Maureen Foster
Maureen Foster nee Toms). I was born in Kalgoorlie of an Aboriginal father and a Dutch mother.
Both my grandparents on my father's side were part of the Stolen Generation. My grandfather was born at Noonkanbah Station in the Kimberly and my grandmother was born in Bundaberg , QLD.
Maureen have previously exhibited artworks at the Wardan Cultural Centre near Yallingyup and was also involved om the Gecko program run by the Catholic Education Department.
I have recently moved to Carnarvon from Perth in September 2021.
